Technology services privacy policy

This privacy policy (together with the terms and conditions for the relevant LCP Technology Services) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us in connection with your use of the LCP Technology Services, will be processed.

Definitions

In this policy:

"Client” means the existing or prospective client entity on whose behalf you are accessing the LCP Technology Services and to whom we provide, or may in future provide, professional, consulting, analytics or other services.

 “Data Protection Law” means all applicable laws and regulations from time to time in force relating to data protection and privacy including, to the extent applicable, the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

“LCP Technology Services” means the modelling and analytics tools we make available to Clients via websites, and which refer to this privacy notice.

Data Controller

For the purposes of Data Protection Law, the data controller is Lane Clark & Peacock LLP. Please see “About Lane Clark & Peacock” below for further information about the data controller.

Personal data that we may collect about you

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Personal data that you or the Client provides to us in connection with our provision of professional services to the Client and the provision of the LCP Technology Services. The information that you or the Client may give us includes your name, job title, and email address.
  • Your username and hashed password for access to this website. If Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled, we may also collect your telephone number.
  • Information we collect about you when you use this website, such as technical information and information about your visit.

How we use your personal data

We process personal data for certain legitimate business purposes, which include the following:

  • To provide you with access to LCP Technology Services and notify you of changes to them.
  • To provide the Client with other services (in addition to the LCP Technology Services).
  • To administer and improve the performance or security of our websites.
  • For any other purpose required or permitted by law.

We process your personal data for these purposes because it is in both our and our Clients’ interest to do so, as it is either necessary for, or enhances, the services that we provide. We also consider that we are processing your personal data in ways in which you would reasonably expect.

How we share your personal data

We may share your personal data as follows:

  • We may share your data with trusted third-party service providers such as software providers, IT infrastructure providers (including Microsoft), network providers and specialist consultancy firms where this is necessary for the delivery, maintenance or support of the LCP Technology Services.
  • We may also share your personal data for regulatory or legal purposes, to protect our rights, the rights of our Clients or the rights of other third parties.
  • We will not disclose your personal data to any other party or for any other reason except as set out in this privacy policy unless:
    • we have your prior consent; or
    • we have a legal, regulatory or professional obligation to do so.
  • We will not sell your personal data.

Retention of your personal data

We will retain your personal data for so long as the purpose you have provided it for still exists unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law or by our retention policies.

Your rights in respect of your personal data

You have the right to:

  • A copy of your personal data that we hold.
  • Have your data corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Have your data deleted or removed if it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was obtained.
  • Request that the way in which we use your data is restricted to certain uses which you may specify.
  • Object to us claiming that we have a legitimate interest in processing your data.
  • Request that we provide your personal data that we hold to you, so that you may reuse your data for your own purposes.

  • Essential (strictly necessary) cookies: We use these cookies to help you log in securely and stay logged in while you use this site. This is done through trusted Microsoft tools to make sure only the right people can access secure parts of the site.

Complaints

We aim to meet the highest standards when collecting and using your personal data. However, if you believe we are not meeting these standards and wish to make a complaint, please contact our Data Protection Officer using the contact details listed below.

If you are not satisfied with our response you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or, if you are access the LCP Technology Services from outside the UK, any other relevant, local data protection authority.
