Who makes a great energy insights app in 2025?
In the 2025 edition of our What (and who!) makes a great app? report, we analysed nearly 400 energy insights apps across 25 major European markets, covering more than 275 retailers and 115 non-retailers.
Building on the four core themes introduced in the 2024 report, we continue to evaluate each app using a rigorous, points-based scoring system, listed out in the Retailer Ranking.
To account for the addition of non-retailers, this year, we also introduce an “All-App Ranking” system alongside the traditional “Retailer Ranking” system to ensure a fair and comprehensive comparison across the entire landscape.
