To mark World Pancreatic Cancer Day last Thursday 18th November, LCP lit up their St Paul’s House office purple as part of their activities to raise awareness of Pancreatic Cancer and the lives it impacts.
LCP Partner Alex Waite is also running 100 kilometres over November to raise money for the charity Pancreatic Cancer UK. LCP’s charitable Foundation is also matching donations, which means that so far over £20,000 has been raised.
Graham De’ath, Partner and head of LCP’s Communities Groups, said: “There has been so much enthusiasm across the firm for this vital cause as so many people know somebody that has been impacted by Pancreatic Cancer. I’m glad we have been able to make a statement and raise awareness in the heart of Winchester.”
Richard Murphy, a former LCP Partner and a Local Volunteer for Pancreatic Cancer UK, said: “Pancreatic Cancer is often diagnosed at a late stage with 3 in 5 people being diagnosed at stage three and stage four. This has a big knock-on impact on survival rates. Pancreatic Cancer UK exists to provide support and advice for those diagnosed and to help fund much needed research into this awful disease. It’s fantastic that LCP is helping with this important mission.”
