LCP has signed up to the government’s Disability Confident Employer scheme, demonstrating their commitment to becoming a truly disability inclusive employer.
With over 20,000 organisations signed up, the Disability Confident scheme supports employers to make the most of the talents disabled people can bring to the workplace. The scheme helps employers recruit and retain great people, secure high-quality staff who are skilled, loyal and hardworking, as well as improve employee morale and commitment by demonstrating that all employees are treated fairly.
It also helps customers and other businesses to identify those employers who are committed to equality in the workplace.
Bart Huby, head of LCP’s Wellbeing Network and lead of the disability stream, commented:
“Joining the Disability Confident scheme is just one way of showing LCP’s progress on our disability inclusion journey and demonstrates our commitment to offering great opportunities for all our talented people. For LCP, this means looking both inwards, to ensure that our facilities and working practices are accessible to people with physical and/or neurodiverse conditions, and outwards to ensuring our recruitment practices are open and welcoming to disabled people. It’s a really positive action and one that we should celebrate along with many other D&I initiatives we are involved with.”
