Principal

I’m an experienced actuary with over 25 years in the insurance industry across Ireland and the UK, having worked in both in-house and consulting roles. My expertise spans all core actuarial functions: Pricing & Underwriting, Reserving, Solvency II, and Claims analytics.

I’ve supported (re)insurers, corporates, and captives in roles such as PCF Head of Actuarial Function (approved by the Central Bank of Ireland), Reviewing Actuary under Ireland’s Domestic Actuarial Regime, and senior peer reviewer. I lead best-practice reviews and advise on reserving and pricing strategies - often within transformation projects - helping clients modernise processes, embed governance, and unlock commercial value.

My focus is on solving complex actuarial challenges with advice that’s both technically robust and commercially impactful. I take time to understand each client’s goals, constraints, and internal dynamics - so the solutions I deliver are not only sound, but genuinely useful and actionable.

Beyond client work, I’m actively involved in the actuarial profession. I currently serve on the Council of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland and the Actuarial Association of Europe’s Non-Life Working Group. I previously served on the SAI’s General Insurance Committee for over eight years, and was honoured with the Society’s Outstanding Contribution Award in recognition of that service. Since then, I’ve held several senior leadership roles within the SAI, including Treasurer, Chair of the Finance Group, and Member of the Officer Group.

Cecilia's actuarial expertise and insights help the board make decisions that are both informed and commercially grounded – a highly effective business partner, and a real asset to the organisation.
