Turning turbulence into tailwinds

2024 is the election year with over 60 countries going to the polls. As well as being a barometer for democracy, we may see geopolitics reshape global trade and economies, creating new risks but also creating new investment opportunities.

During our conference, we will explore what might change in the coming years and how agile investors can best position portfolios and then look further forward and see whether this (new?) cohort of political leaders amends the longer-term investment thesis.

We are thrilled to announce our keynote speaker: Tim Marshall, renowned journalist and bestselling author. Prepare to have your thinking challenged with his talk: From geopolitics to astropolitics: What’s trending - the underlying currents of international affairs

Tim Marshall was the Diplomatic Editor and foreign correspondent for Sky News. Since then, he has been focussing his attention on why nation states exist, the nature of borders and how the physical, cultural and political characteristics have come to define the world. More recently, he is exploring the politics of space and how that might impact our future down here on Earth.

Our agenda feeds the curious:

  • Geopolitical instability: Understand the implications on investment decisions and strategies to mitigate portfolio impact.
  • Reimagining portfolio construction: Taking a fresh perspective on the factors influencing portfolio construction strategies.
  • The net zero transition: From supply chain gaps to investment opportunities.
  • Are private markets adjusting to a world of higher-for-longer global rates?
  • Keynote: Tim Marshall - From geopolitics to astropolitics: What’s trending. Tim Marshall on the underlying currents of international affairs.

We will bring together thought leaders and specialists to share their insights and experiences. The day will end with a drinks reception to give you the opportunity to network with peers and industry experts.

Who should attend?

Investment decision-makers and thinkers from pension funds, sovereign funds, charities, endowments, wealth managers and insurers from the UK and beyond.
