LCP welcomes two new Investment experts to its growing team
Investment Asset transfers LCP newsLCP has welcomed experts Amlan Roy and Mark Watts to its growing investment team.
Mark Watts has served on a number of Boards in both executive (CEO and CIO) and non-executive positions. He also chaired the FCA’s DB and DC Pension Plan Risk and Audit Committee and the Responsible Investment Working Group. Throughout his career, he has advised a range of clients, including pension funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Central Banks, Insurance companies and Family Offices. Outside of finance, he is a qualified Non-Executive Director (FT NED Diploma) and has advised tech companies on scaling their businesses.
As an LCP Partner, Mark will be supporting LCP’s investment clients both in the UK and globally with an immediate focus on helping them navigate the energy transition and ensuring they are deploying their capital effectively. He will be working closely with LCP Delta, the firm’s energy team.
Dr Amlan Roy is a Global Macro client-facing researcher with almost four decades of experience across investment banking, asset management, academia, and policymaking. His institutional client advisory and policy/regulatory advice (central banks, SWFs, pension regulators, markets regulators) extend beyond 50 countries. He is also a recognised invited international keynote speaker. He was previously Senior MD & Head of Global Research at State Street Global Advisors (2017-2021) and MD/Head of Global Demographics & Pensions at Credit Suisse (1996-2016). He is a Research Associate of the FMG and Systemic Risk Centre at the London School of Economics, an Honorary Fellow Institute of Actuaries, a Singapore FinTech Festival Ambassador and a Guest Professor LBS Finance Department. Amlan has an MBA and PhD (Financial Economics) and was a multiple awards winning lecturer in US and UK universities over nearly 12 years.
Amlan will be working primarily in the sovereign wealth space as a Senior Advisor, bringing his wealth of knowledge and contacts to LCP’s sovereign wealth funds, public pension funds and central bank clients.
