Government says the UK is open for investment - pushing “productive finance”, launching reforms, and pointing to growing interest from overseas pension giants. But does the reality match the rhetoric?
In this episode, we speak to Danny Latham, Partner and Head of Australia & New Zealand at Igneo Infrastructure Partners, to cut through the noise and ask the uncomfortable question: is the UK genuinely investible - or are the best opportunities still abroad?
What’s one thing you would like listeners to take away?
- There are opportunities in the UK. However, you have to be selective, discerning, learn from the past and look to the future in terms of identifying which sectors are predisposed towards long-term predictable, stable returns. It’s not every sector all the time, but there is certainly value in certain pockets across the UK.
