Markets, MAGA and Megatrends

The geopolitical playbook is being rewritten. But is the new rhetoric more bark than bite? At our investment conference, we’ll unpack the critical megatrends shaping markets.

This year’s agenda features thought-provoking discussions on:

  • Seismic change: Managing the geopolitics supercycle – With tariffs, protectionism, and Trump-era policies reshaping global trade, what does this mean for capital flows, corporate supply chains, and investment allocations? Tina Fordham will unpack what it all means for capital markets and long-term investment strategies.
  • Fresh foundations for SAA  – How do demographics shape investment outlooks? Mirko Cardinale (Head of Investment Strategies, USS) and Amlan Roy (Partner, LCP) dive into long-horizon forecasting, risk-return analysis, and macro themes like climate and technology. Learn how USS, one of the UK’s largest pension funds, integrates climate and demographics into its award-winning investment strategy.
  • Investing in the energy transition – Carpe diem?

Ken Willis (LCP), Clay Lambiotte (LCP), Alicia Kedzierski (FCA), Paul Saunders (NTMA) and Doug Clark (Brightwell) explore whether the anti-RI rhetoric marks the start of a new era, or offers long-term investors the perfect opportunity to access net zero assets.

The day will offer insights from thought leaders and industry specialists, aimed at helping us all navigate this dynamic investment landscape. We’ll finish with an afternoon reception, where you’ll have the chance to network and continue the conversation.

Who should attend?

Investment decision-makers and thinkers from pension funds, sovereign funds, charities, endowments, wealth managers and insurers from the UK and beyond.
