LCP were named winners in the Contribution to Inclusion category and Cat Drummond was named Role Model of the Year at last night’s Women in Insurance Awards. LCP were also highly commended in the Contribution to Gender Inclusion category.
The Women in Insurance Awards showcase the achievements of women in the general insurance market.
Cat was one of 9 finalists in the Role Model category.
These wins follow LCP’s success in the Insurance ERM awards earlier this year, which saw LCP being crowned winners in four categories, highlighting how the Insurance team is growing from strength to strength.
Cat Drummond, Partner at LCP, said : “It’s fantastic news that LCP has been recognised for the strides we have made in helping make our firm and our industry be more honest with ourselves. We have a vibrant and increasingly open culture, and while we know there is more to do, we have really taken the opportunity to harness the awareness of social justice issues on the back of the pandemic. Our employee led networks have helped to deliver a series of high octane awareness campaigns, mentoring sessions and other learnings on often sensitive and taboo topics.”
Tom Durkin, Head of LCP’s Insurance Practice, commented: “Cat is recognised both for her technical excellence, and also her passion and authenticity for promoting openness and inclusivity, at LCP and across the insurance industry. I’m delighted that she has won this well deserved award.”
