Alex Blanckley

I am an energy consultant and Irish power market expert with more than 15 years’ experience across energy, investment and equity research. Before joining LCP Delta, I was a Senior Principal at AFRY Management Consulting, where I advised utilities, developers, infrastructure investors, network operators, government ministries, regulators and trade associations on the Irish power market and wider energy transition.

My expertise spans renewables, energy storage, thermal generation, data centres, interconnectors, energy economics, policy and regulation, power market modelling and the Irish Single Electricity Market. I also have extensive experience in transaction due diligence, asset valuation, cost-benefit analysis and project management.

Before moving into energy consulting, I worked in equity research and investment, giving me a strong understanding of investment markets and the commercial considerations shaping decisions across the energy sector.

At LCP Delta, I help clients understand market developments, assess investment opportunities and navigate the commercial and regulatory changes shaping Ireland’s power system.
