Stuart McDonald

I am Head of Longevity and Demographic Insights and a partner in LCP's Actuarial team. I help clients understand how mortality and demographic trends affect long-term liabilities and risk, drawing on insights from our LCP Health team. I advise some of the UK's largest pension schemes as well as leading insurers and global reinsurers.

Prior to joining LCP, I spent 20 years in insurance and reinsurance in roles focussed on longevity and demographics.

I play an active role within the actuarial profession. I currently serve as the Chair of the Continuous Mortality Investigation (CMI) and founded the influential COVID-19 Actuaries Response Group.

I was awarded an MBE for services to Public Health in the 2022 New Year Honours.
