Andrea Upex

I am a Senior Consultant in LCP’s Pensions Management Consultancy department, specialising in trustee executive and governance services for DB and DC schemes.

I support clients by building strong relationships and developing a clear understanding of each scheme’s circumstances to provide pragmatic, proportionate advice. Over the last 30 years, I have worked both in-house and in consultancy roles, giving me a broad perspective on scheme governance.

Having worked in house as a pensions and benefits manager, I understand the day to day pressures faced by internal teams and bring a clear sponsor side perspective to supporting trustees. In consultancy roles, I have worked at the forefront of scheme governance, supporting multiple boards and sponsors to develop and implement effective governance frameworks and make complex decisions.

My areas of specialism include the Pensions Regulator’s General Code and the journey to buy-in.
