Victoria Snowden

I am a Scheme Actuary with 18 years of experience in the pensions industry. Currently, I act as the Scheme Actuary (or alternate actuary) for ten schemes, ranging from £5 million to £5 billion with a range of board structures and governance approaches.

My clients tell me that they highly value my strategic and practical advice. I collaborate closely with investment and administration teams to ensure my advice is consistent and comprehensive.

I prioritise regular, quarterly catch-ups with her sole trustee clients to keep projects on track, provide proactive advice, and align priorities and expectations with trustees and their sponsoring employers. My experience extends to working with schemes sponsored by overseas parents and I focus on adding value to the LCP team’s approach whilst maintaining a pragmatic attitude.

As a hands-on and trusted advisor, I am not afraid to offer my opinion or engage in constructive debates when necessary. I consider the perspectives of various stakeholders involved in running a pension scheme and work collaboratively with trustees to achieve the best possible outcomes for members.

Aside from my client responsibilities, I presented Season 2 of LCP’s Beyond Curious podcast, interviewing CEOs across different organisations and backgrounds.

Up to 2024, I led the actuarial team in our Winchester office for five years before taking up the role of Head of LCP's Winchester office. The actuarial team was made up of 80 qualified and trainee actuaries and I remain involved in mentoring, appraisals and recruitment.

I also previously sat on our internal Pensions Professional Committee (“Pensions ProfCo”) for the wider pensions team at LCP, who prepare appropriate guidance and are responsible for ensuring the overall quality of our actuarial processes and advice.

Outside of LCP, I am an advocate for Antarctica, and have been a trustee of the UKAHT since 2021.
